Shaw is an Unincorporated community in the Two-Mile Prairie of Boone County, Missouri, northeast of Columbia. It is located at 38°58′25″N 92°12′12″W / 38.97361°N 92.20333°W (38.9736517, -92.2032379).[1]
History
In 2002, the Missouri Department of Transportation discussed the building of a highway bypass, around Columbia, and through Shaw. The plan was halted after protests from a group of local business owners called "Stop the Bypass", the Boone County Historical Society and the Shaw Preservation Society.
