Shaun Prater (born October 27, 1989) is an American football cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football for Iowa, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent part of the 2013 NFL Season with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Professional career
Prater was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was placed on injured reserve on August 24, 2012. On September 1, 2013, the Philadelphia Eagles claimed Prater off waivers. On October 21, 2013, the Philadelphia Eagles released Prater to make room for the signing of Emmanuel Acho. On October 22, 2013, the Minnesota Vikings claimed Prater off waivers.
