Shaun Hampson (born 21 March 1988) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League.

Hampson excelled at sport at school, including athletics, swimming and soccer, but did not begin playing Australian football until 2004. He then joined Queensland's Mt Gravatt Football Club in 2005 and by the end of the year he was the club's number one ruckman.[1] Hampson was drafted in the priority round of the 2006 AFL Draft by the Carlton Football Club (17th pick overall).

Hampson made his debut in Round 21, 2007 against North Melbourne. In five seasons, Hampson has played a total of 44 senior games for Carlton.

Hampson struggled with short-sightedness early in his career, and had laser eye surgery prior to the 2012 to correct it.[2]

In January 2011 it was reported that he had been dating Australian supermodel Megan Gale.[3] As of November, 2013, the couple are expecting their first child.

Hampson was traded to the Richmond Football Club on October 7 for pick 28 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft.
