Sharsha (Bengali: শর্শা) is an Upazila of Jessore District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.
Geography
Sharsha is located at 23°04′28″N 88°52′00″E / 23.0744°N 88.8667°E . It has 46084 units of house hold and total area 336.34 km².
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Sharsha has a population of 258789. Males make up 51.4% of the population, and females 48.6%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 126532. Sharsha has an average literacy rate of 25.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
