Shane Marshall

Shane Raymond Marshall is a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia.

Justice Marshall studied Economics and Law at Monash University. After graduating, he practised as a solicitor for a few years before being admitted to the Victorian Bar in 1981.[1]

Justice Marshall was appointed as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia on 17 July 1995. At the same time, he was appointed to the Industrial Relations Court of Australia. In January 2004, he became an additional judge of the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory. Since April 2008, he has also been on the Board of the Law Faculty at Monash University.[1]

In 2003, Justice Marshall was recognised with a Centenary Medal for services to industrial relations.[1]

He is married with two daughters.
