Shamva is one of seven districts in the Mashonaland Central province of Zimbabwe. The district capital is the village of Shamva.
Shamwa has one of the richest gold mines in Zimbabwe called Shamva gold mine. It is located 60km NW of Harare. Schools in Shamva include Chindunduma, madziva Wadzanai secondary schools. DAPP Humana People to People headoffice is In Shamva.
