Shamal Bhatt

Shamal Bhatt (Gujarati: શામળ) (1718–1765) was a Gujarati author of the middle age in Gujarati literature. He is known for his "Padhya-Vaarta".[citation needed]
One of his poems inspired Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of satyagraha–-resistance to tyranny through mass civil disobedience.[1]
He wrote many famous "Padhya-Vaarta" like ' Chandra-Chandraawati ni Vaarta ', ' Madan-Mohna ', ' Sinhaasan-Batrisi '.[citation needed]
