"Shady Girl" is the second single and lead single from the album of the same name by South Korean girl group Sistar. It was released on August 25, 2010, through Starship Entertainment.

Release

On August 23, 2010 it was announced that SISTAR would release their second single, titled "Shady Girl" on August 25, 2010. Along with the announcement, teaser picture's of the group were released sporting their "Before and After" image concept.

Sistar released the teaser for their single "Shady Girl" on August 24, 2010.[1] The single was released on music stores and digital music sites on August 25, 2010.[2] The official music video was unveiled on the same day.[3] The music video features Super Junior's Kim Heechul.

On September 15, 2010 Sistar released rehearsal video for their track, “Shady Girl”.[4]

The song was written and produced by Brave Brothers.

Promotions

Sistar had their comeback stage on Music Bank on August 27, 2010.[5] The group also performed "Shady Girl" on various music shows such as M! Countdown, Music Core and Inkigayo in December and January.

Chart performance

The song debuted at number 4 on South Korea's Gaon Singles Chart. The song reached #79 on the Gaon 2010 digital yearly charts with 1,623,243 copies sold.
