Shūzō Oshimi (押見 修造 Oshimi Shūzō) is a Japanese manga artist who publishes works mainly for Kodansha.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] His narrative style consists in stories presenting corky, clumsy and/or queer main characters, usually a couple formed a boy and a girl, and how their relationship unfolds as the narrative progresses. They also present uncommon, uncomfortable and, sometimes, disturbing situations through which the protagonists take part. These situations, at first, come as a shock for both characters and readers, but gradually become common, to the point that both treat them as usual and normal, intrisic to the story and its plot. This narrative style has been seen in all of the author's works, including in his best-known work, the currently-running The Flowers of Evil.
