Shōwa (昭和村 Shōwa-mura) is a village located in Tone District, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.

As of September 1, 2007, the village had an estimated population of 7,774 and a density of 121.15 persons per km². The total area is 64.17 km². Shōwa-mura is primarily a farming village, but is also home to a large Canon factory. It is famous for producing Konjac or Konnyaku as well as other fresh fruits and vegetables.

Geography

Located on the northwestern slopes of Mt. Akagi, it is surrounded on the north, east, and west by the city of Numata and borders Shibukawa to the south. The village is situated in central Gunma Prefecture.
