  • Elizabeth Ann Seton (aka Mother Seton) an Episcopalian who converted to Roman Catholicism after her husband's death. She founded a catholic girls school in Emmitsburg, Maryland as well as the Sisters of Charity Roman Catholic order. The three Seton Hall schools in New Jersey.

Seton Hall is not to be confused with Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
