Serve (payment system)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Serve is an e-commerce payment system and prepaid debit card introduced by American Express on March 28, 2011.[1] The platform was developed by Revolution Money, which was purchased for US$300 million in 2009 by American Express.[2] Accounts are registered online via serve.com, while transactions are accepted through both Serve's website and mobile apps.[3]
Once registered, users are issued a prepaid card and can transfer money to other users, shop online, and shop in stores. The card can be used anywhere that accepts American Express.[4] Card members can also use their cards to withdraw money from ATMs. Currently, Serve is only available to residents of the United States.
