Sertânia is a city in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The population in 2009, according with IBGE was 35.914 inhabitants[1] and the total area is 2421,51 km².

The main economic activities in Sertânia are based in industry, commerce and agribusiness, especially creation of cattle, sheeps (over than 85000 heads), pigs, goats (over than 120000 heads), horses, donkeys; and plantations of corn, tomatoes and beans.
