Sermstyle (South Shields, England born Jamie Michael Robert Sanderson, born November 24, 1987) is a songwriter, record producer, remixer who currently lives and works from Newcastle upon Tyne. He has records with artists Wiz Khalifa, Young Buck, Claude Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Bei Maejor, Mistah F.A.B., Lil Chuckee, Kid Ink, Ca$his, Stat Quo, Yung Berg, 40 cal, Vado, Hot Rod, Wretch 32, and Wiley.[1][2]
Recognition
Sermstyle was featured on BBC Radio 1 & BBC Radio 1Xtra "The UK Producers" documentary which first aired September 26, 2011.[3][4]
In December 2011, Sermstyle featured in the BBC documentary "Grime Up North", where, BBC 1xtra DJ, Charlie Sloth "went on a road-trip to find the hottest rappers up North and try to understand why rap music in the U.K is dominated by the London scene."[5] Charlie travels to Newcastle to meet Sermstyle to be introduced to some of Newcastle's rap artists.
Sermstyle signed to Mike Caren's publishing company APG (Warner Chappell) in January 2013.[6]
