Sergei Zenjov (born 20 April 1989 in Pärnu) is an Estonian professional footballer, who plays in Ukrainian Premier League, for FC Karpaty Lviv. He plays the position of striker and is 1.83 m tall and weighs 70 kg. He is also a member of the Estonia national football team.

Club career

Early career

Zenjov made his first-team debut for FC Pärnu Vaprus at the age of 16 in 2006. A year later he joined to FC TVMK Tallinn. Zenjov was named the Meistriliiga young player of the Season in 2007. At the age of 18, after two seasons at TVMK Tallinn, Zenjov moved abroad.

FC Karpaty Lviv

In February 2008, he signed a 3-year contract with Ukrainian Premier League club FC Karpaty Lviv.[2] On 25 February 2008, Zenjov scored his first hat-trick in his first game for FC Karpaty Lviv against AC Horsens in a friendly match.[3] He played his first Ukrainian Premier League match on 1 March 2008, in a 1–0 win against FC Kharkiv.[4] He scored his first Ukrainian Premier League goal on 28 July 2008, in the 57th minute of a 1–1 draw against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.[5][6] He only started in ten games (one in the Cup competition), but by the mid-season of his second year in the club he played in 27 games overall.

International career

For Estonia national football team, Zenjov is capped 20 times, scoring 5 goals. He made his national team debut on 20 August 2008 against Malta national football team in a friendly match.[7] He scored his first national team goal on 6 September 2008, in the 57th minute in a 2–3 loss against Belgium in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification.[8]
