Serap Yazıcı

Serap Yazıcı is a Turkish academic. She is a professor of Constitutional Law in the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Şehir University. She became blind by an accident in her childhood. Professor Yazıcı is a member of the six-person committee tasked by the prime minister with drafting a proposal for the new constitution of Turkey.
Biography
She has been critical of the constitution drafted after a Sept 12, 1980 military coup, saying "In the Turkish judicial system, the number of rulings that were based on the principle of objectivity would most likely be in the minority." [1]
