Semiha Borovac (born 2 March 1955) is a former mayor of Sarajevo,[1] succeeded by Alija Behmen.[2] She is Sarajevo's only female mayor to date and is also a member of the Party of Democratic Action.

She was elected as mayor of Sarajevo on 29 March 2005.

Education

  • 1968: Completed the "Ahmet Fetahagić" elementary school, Sarajevo
  • 1972: Completed "Druga Gimnazija" secondary school, Sarajevo
  • 1977: Graduated from the Sarajevo Law School
