Selva di Progno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verona in the Italian region Veneto, located about 90 km west of Venice and about 25 km northeast of Verona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 985 and an area of 41.2 km².[1]
The municipality of Selva di Progno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Giazza (Ljetzan, where the Germanic language Cimbric, or locally "tauc,", is spoken), Campofontana, and San Bartolomeo delle Montagna e San Bortolo.
Selva di Progno borders the following municipalities: Ala, Badia Calavena, Bosco Chiesanuova, Crespadoro, Recoaro Terme, Roverè Veronese, Velo Veronese, and Vestenanova.
