- the former name of the modern city of Sivas, Turkey (renamed from "Megalopolis" under Augustus)
- Sebasteia (theme), Byzantine province named after the former
- Samaria (ancient city), renamed Sebastia by Augustus
- Sebastia, Nablus, a present-day village in the West Bank located directly adjacent to the ruins of ancient Samaria-Sebaste
