The Seattle Mountaineers are an International Basketball League and American Basketball Association team based in Auburn, Washington. Home games are played at Green River Community College.
The team is a non-profit organization and coached by Don Sims. From 2005 until 2007, the Mountaineers played at Bellevue Community College.
In January 2006, a new league, called the American National Basketball League stated in a press release that a team called the Seattle Mountaineers would participate in their 2006-2007 season. However, this did not affect the team's status in the IBL, and they will once again participate in the upcoming season.
The Mountaineers suspended operations for the 2008 season, but resumed play in 2009 as a traveling team.
