Sean Murphy (born March 21, 1964 in Montreal, Quebec) is a former international backstroke swimmer from Canada, who competed for 6 years on the Canadian National Swimming Team including setting several National Records. Murphy competed in several international competitions, including the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, Commonwealth Games, World University Games, FINA World Aquatics Championships and in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There he finished in 8th (100m).[1]
In addition, Murphy competed for Stanford University from 1985 through to 1988 where he won three individual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships and contributed to three team championships.
