Sean John McCann
A Canadian citizen, Moley Sean Gerard McCann (also Sean John McCann[1]) was one of four members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army arrested by the FBI, with help from the BATF,[2] following a two-month investigation that culminated in the attempted purchase of a Stinger missile in January 1990.[1]
McCann, 33 years old at the time of his arrest, was living in a trailer park in the southern portion of Palm Beach.[3]
The four men had paid $50,000 to an undercover FBI agent,[4] after all four men arranged to meet the man at a warehouse where he claimed to store stolen military equipment.[3]
Seamus Moley, one of the four men arrested, saw his brother Patrick Moley arrested two years later on charges of purchasing detonators for the IRA in Arizona, although he was found not guilty.[5]
