Scriptlance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ScriptLance was a freelance marketplace that used a reverse auction system to help buyers find programmers and designers to outsource their projects. Freelancers placed bids on projects posted by interested buyers, who then worked with the chosen winner to complete their programming work.[1] The site catered to small and medium sized online businesses, and was used primarily by freelance programmers from India and Eastern Europe.[2]
The site was founded in 2001 by René Trescases, and was based in Toronto, Canada.
In July 2012, Scriptlance was acquired by Freelancer.com.[3]
