Scranton is an unincorporated community in Inyo County, California.[1] It is located on the Tonopah and Tidewater Railroad 13 miles (21 km) northeast of Ryan,[2] at an elevation of 2234 feet (681 m).[1]
The place was named after Scranton, Pennsylvania.[2]
