Scott Petri is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from the 178th Legislative District. He currently serves on the House Appropriations, Liquor Control, Local Government and Urban Affairs Committees.
Career
Prior to being elected to the House, Petri was a practicing attorney with his own firm, he served as counsel to Upper Makefield Township and New Britain. He also served on the Upper Makefield Township planning commission and as solicitor to the township.
In 2002, Petri defeated Philadelphia sportscaster Carl Cherkin to succeed retiring Rep. Roy Reinard.[2] He has been re-elected to each succeeding session of the House.
Personal
Petri graduated from in 1985. He is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania and the Villanova University School of Law. He also graduated from Downingtown High School.
He resides in New Hope, Pennsylvania with his wife and son.
