Scombrinae is a subfamily of ray-finned bony fishes in the family Scombridae.[1] Of the 51 species in the Scombridae, 50 of them are in Scombrinae – with the sole exception being the butterfly kingfish, which resides in the monospecific subfamily Gasterochismatinae.[2]
Scombrinae, therefore, comprises 50 extant species in fourteen genera, grouped into four tribes:

- Tribe Scomberomorini – Spanish mackerels
- Genus Acanthocybium
- Genus Grammatorcynus
