Scituate Proving Ground

Scituate Proving Ground was a proving ground of the United States Army located in Scituate, Massachusetts. It was operational from 1918 when 115.25 acres were purchased between June and July. In November of 1919, the site was declared excess, and it was used as a storing ground until June 1921. Today, the site is used for housing, although former structures dating from the use of the grounds still can be seen.
