Satellite Town, Quetta

Satellite Town is an upscale neighborhood and residential suburb located in the city of Quetta in Balochistan, Pakistan.[1][2] The town is situated adjacent to the University of Balochistan and the headquarters of the Geological Survey of Pakistan.[3]
In October 2011, the Afghan government claimed that the assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani was planned by the Quetta Shura (a council consisting of top Afghan Taliban leaders in exile) based in the premises of the town.[4]
