A Santero (feminine form Santera, Spanish for "saint-maker") may refer to either:

In Roman Catholicism

  • In Spanish culture, a collector, or an artisan who creates Santos y Revultos and other Spanish-style religious artwork.

In SanterĂ­a

  • A man who has undergone the Initiation known as "Kariocha" in the SanterĂ­a religion, also known as "making the Saint" (Spanish: Hacer Santo) where his tutelary deity is crowned over his head. A santero is an initiated priest of the orisha that was crowned over his head.
