Santaan — Har Khushi Hai Tumse was a Hindi-language television series that aired on STAR Plus channel. The series was produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms and premiered in October 2007. It aired every MondayThursday at 7:30pm IST. The story is set in the backdrop of Kanpur and is based on unique relationships and the common thread that binds the characters. The show concluded March 20, 2009.

Overview

Santaan depicts the lifestyle and generation gap conflicting values and morals between parents and their children. In this case, the story is of an extraordinary couple Parikshit Dixit and his wife Gayatri and their hardships and turmoil to keep their family closely, happily and strongly bonded even in the everyday struggle. With their three kids Kartik, Shubh, and Suhana the whole Dixit family work very hard compromising on almost all their needs and luxuries with an aim to set a bright and secure future for the kids. With their only wish to see their children well established and happy for the rest of their life, Parikshit and Gayatri are a satisfied couple, until life shows up its darker shades and begin to trample their dreams of a fulfilled family life. But the question remains that will Parikshit and Gayatri be able to cope up with the lifestyle of ‘Generation next’? Will the difference of opinions lead to a rift between a father-son or mother-daughter relation?
