Sans is a former settlement in Monterey County, California.[1] It was located 9 miles (14 km) northeast of Cape San Martin,[2] at an elevation of 1316 feet (401 m).[1] Sans still appeared on USGS maps as of 1921.[1]

Sans was located near the Nacimiento River and hosted the Nacimiento School.[2]

Government

At the county level, the area that was once Sans is represented on the Monterey County Board of Supervisors by Supervisor Dave Potter .[3] In the California State Assembly, it is represented by Bill Monning as part of the 27th Assembly district.[4] In the State Senate, the area is represented by Sam Blakeslee as part of the 15th State Senate district.[5] In the U.S. House of Representatives, the area is part of California's 17th congressional district, represented by Sam Farr.[6]
