Sanoop Santhosh (born December 12, 2003) is an Indian child actor from the Malayalam film industry.
Career
Sanoop made his acting debut in Philips and the Monkey Pen, a 2013 Malayalam language children's film. He played the role of Ryan Philip, a naughty little 5th grade kid, who had an inherent aversion to mathematics and his subsequent adventures and eventual self-realisation,with the help of a magical pen called Monkey Pen.[1]
Sanoop is the younger brother of young actress Sanusha, who also started her acting career as a child actor in Malayalam films.[2][3] The movie opened to rave reviews from both common audience and critics and was successful at the box office,while Sanoop's performance was highly noted and appreciated,with several icons from the film industry coming out and expressing their happiness,appreciation and hopes for this young talent.
Popular film magazine Nana and television entertainment network Asianet rewarded Sanoop's performance in Philips and the Monkey Pen with the Best Child Actor Award. The Asianet Film Award was handed to him on 10 January 2014 at a glamorous event in Dubai,graced by the superstars of Indian cinema;the Badshah Of Bollywood,Shahrukh Khan,Ulaganayakan Kamal Haasan and Mollywood's own Big M's Mohanlal and Mammootty.
However,his biggest achievement yet,happened when a worldwide poll conducted by Malayalam magazine Vanitha saw him emerge as the Best New Face of 2013 for its 2013 awards, beating several other older competitors and became one of those rare child actors to win an award for Best Actor in the same category. He received the Vanitha Award in another glitzy event in Kochi on 18 January 2014.[4]
Personal life
Born to Santhosh and Usha on December 12, 2003 in Kannur, Santhosh is also the younger brother of actress Sanusha Santhosh. He is a 4th Grade student of Sreepuram English Medium And Junior College, Kannur.
