Sandnes Station (Norwegian: Sandnes holdeplass) is a railway station located in the southern part of downtown Sandnes in Rogaland, Norway. The station is served by the Jæren Commuter Rail between Stavanger and Egersund. The station is 15.36 kilometres (9.54 mi) south of Stavanger. The station was the central station for Sandnes between 1955 and 1996, but was then replaced by a rebuilt Sandnes Sentrum Station. The station was then named Sandnes holdeplass, serving only as a stop for local trains, but officially it remained the main station.
