Sander Schwartz

Sander Schwartz (born January 7, 1954, Cleveland, Ohio, United States) is an American Daytime Emmy award-winning producer of television animation. He was chairman of Warner Bros. Animation between 2001 and 2007, International Productions President of Sony Pictures Television between 2007 and 2009, and is currently President of FremantleMedia's Kids and Family Entertainment division since 2010.

Biography

After graduating from high school, Schwartz studied law in Chicago, and has worked as Assistant Secretary of AFTRA. In 1982, Schwartz moved to New York to work for CBS Entertainment, where he developed an interest in children's television programs. In the late 1980s, Schwartz traveled to California, where he worked as, among others, Columbia Pictures Television's vice chairman from 1989 to 1999, and chairman of Sony Pictures Family Entertainment for the period 1999-2001. Subsequently he was appointed chair of Warner Bros. Animation in the chair in 2001,[1] but in 2007, Schwartz resigned to return to Sony. In 2009, Schwartz joined FremantleMedia as Executive vice president of the newly created Kids and Family Entertainment division,[2] and has since moved on to the role of president in the same division.[3]
