Samut Songkhram (Thai: สมุทรสงคราม (Pronunciation)) is the capital of Thailand's Samut Songkhram Province, and of the Samut Songkhram district. It covers the area of the tambon Mae Klong (also the old name of the town), as well as the Mae Klong River, which enters the Gulf of Thailand near the town. The town is the terminus of the Maeklong Railway.
