Samuel Smith (academic)

Walter Alvah Samuel Smith, aka Samuel Smith, was the second President of Athabasca University,[1] and in 1984 was awarded an honorary degree from that institution.

Smith prior to assuming his role as President, he was Dean of Arts at Simon Fraser University.[2] He later went on to become President of the University of Lethbridge.[3]
