Samuel Kwong (born January 1, 1998 in Pleasanton, California) is an American sabre fencer. He is USA Fencing's 2013 Youth-14 Men's Sabre national champion.
Youth
Kwong held the national #1 rank in each concluding year of Youth-10, Youth-12, and Youth-14. He was a two-time gold medalist in both the Youth-12 and Youth-14 age categories and a two-time bronze medalist in the Youth-10. Altogether he has won 11 national medals in these divisions, 4 of which were gold and 3 of which were bronze.[1][2][3]
He was the youngest male sabre fencer in the country with an A rating in the 2012-2013 season.[2]

Cadet (Under-17)
The west-coast fencer was 1st alternate for the 2013 Cadet World Championships in Poreč, Croatia, ranked 4th on the USFA team point standings.[4][5] Kwong was the youngest men's sabre fencer to represent USA internationally in the 2012-2013 season.[3] However, at 14 years old he won USA's first medal for the season at the 2012 Cadet World Cup in Konin, Poland.[6][7][8]
He was a Cadet bronze medalist at the 2013 Junior Olympics in Baltimore, Maryland.[3][9]

Personal life
Kwong trains under co-head coach of the Stanford University varsity team, George Pogosov, Olympic and six-time World champion.[10]
Aside from being a fencer, Kwong is a violinist. He won the 2011 United States Open Music Competition and has been a concertmaster and soloist with the El Camino Youth Symphony.[11][12]
He is in the Class of 2016 at Henry M. Gunn High School.[3]
