Samson Kayode (born in 6 October 1988) is a naturalized Vietnamese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Vietnamese club Hà Nội T&T.

Club career

Samson Kayode began his professional career in the Vietnam First Division with Than Quảng Ninh. In two years with Than Quảng Ninh he scored 20 goals. In 2009, he joined fellow V-League side Đồng Tháp and established himself as one of the top players in Vietnam. During the 2011 season Kayode scored 17 goals in 18 matches.

After two seasons with Dông Tháp, Kayode signed a contract with La Liga club Atlético Madrid, and was immediately loaned to Braga of the Primeira Liga.[1] However, after a month in Portugal, he moved back to Vietnam. Kayode signed a contract with Hà Nội T&T, before signing with Atlético. The Vietnamese club put a complaint in Vietnam Football Federation, demanding €1.42M compensation from Atlético, because Kayode had broken a three-year contract with Hà Nội T&T, and receiving €212K for an advance.[2]
