Same Station (鮫駅 Same-eki) is a railway station on the JR East Hachinohe Line located in the city of Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 11.8 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Hachinohe Line at Hachinohe Station.

History

Same Station was opened on November 10, 1924 as a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR). All freight operations were discontinued as of February 1, 1984. With the privatization of the Japan National Railways (the post-war successor to the JGR) on April 1, 1987, it came under the operational control of JR East.

Station layout

Same Station has one side platform and one island platform serving three tracks. The station building is attended and has a “Green Window” service counter in addition to an automatic ticket machine; however, due to budget issues and the installation of a CTC, there is no station master.
