Sambhal district is a district of Uttar Pradesh state of India. It was announced on 23 July 2012 as one of three new districts in the state. It was formerly named "Bhimnagar".[1]
The district headquarter location is in Sambal.[2] Sambhal district is a part of Moradabad division.[3]
