Samuel A. Adekugbe (born January 16, 1995) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer.
Career
Professional
On August 28, 2013, Adekugbe signed a generation adidas homegrown contract with MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps FC, making him the seventh homegrown signing in club history.[1] He made his professional debut on October 27 in the final game of the 2013 season which ended in a 3–0 victory over Colorado Rapids.[2]
International
Adekugbe was part of Canada's under-18 squad for the 2013 COTIF U-20 tournament from August 11 to 21.[1] He also received his first call up to the senior men's national team for friendlies against Mauritania on September 8 and 10. However, he did not feature in any of the matches.[3]
