Salvador 'Salva' Ruiz Rodríguez (born 17 May 1995 in Albal, Valencia) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Valencia CF Mestalla, as a left back.

Club career

A product of Valencia CF's youth system, Ruiz made his senior debuts with the reserves when he was only 16, playing 19 Segunda División B games in the 2011–12 season and scoring one goal, in the 2–0 home win against CE Manacor. On 28 November 2012 he appeared in his first official match with the main squad, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3–1 home win over UE Llagostera for the season's Copa del Rey.[1]

Ruiz was loaned out to CD Tenerife for the 2013–14 campaign.[2][3] He made his first appearance in Segunda División on 25 August, starting and being replaced in a 0–0 home draw against Hércules CF.[4] Salva has been called back by Valencia on 29 January 2014, due to the lack of time at Tenerife.
