Salman Yusuff Khan (born on 12 June 1985 in Bangalore, India) is famous as the winner of India's biggest dance reality show Dance India Dance Season 1. After winning the show, Salman got an opportunity to share the screen and to showcase his talent with the namesake Salman Khan in the title song of Wanted. After the song in Wanted, he did a music video for the movie Rakta Charitra "Dance Of Death" which was a massive hit. Salman has also worked in music videos like "Alive" (2011) and was recently seen in a film called Sukoon - Vaishali Made alongside Shakti Mohan. He was a choreographer for Yana Gupta in the season 4 of Indian version of Dancing with the Stars - Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 4), with Isha Sharvani in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 5) and with Drashti Dhami in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 6). Salman's debut movie ABCD: Anybody Can Dance under the direction of Remo d'souza was released on 8 February 2013. He has also won another reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 6) with Drashti Dhami.
Early life
Salman was born on 12 June 1985, into a Muslim family in Bangalore, and attended International Indian School Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. He is a mechanical engineer from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Aiming to be a dancer, he got trained himself in different dance forms like salsa, hiphop etc. While graduating, Salman worked for different dance groups in Bangalore.
Marriage
He got married to Faiza Haramain,his long time girlfriend on 27th December 2013
Accident
At the Big Star Jhandu Entertainment awards he fell off a piece of wood while doing a performance with Prabhu Deva & Remo D' Souza at the top of a building made from metal pipes. He banged his forehead on a metal pipe so hard that he broke his left leg and right arm and injured his forehead. He was taken to the hospital and his cousin replaced him.
