Salkhad District

Salkhad (Arabic: صلخد Ṣalḫad) is a Syrian district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to As-Suwayda Governorate. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 60,375. Its administrative centre is the city of Salkhad.

Divisions

The district of Salkhad is divided into 5 sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):

  • Salkhad nahiyah (ناحية مركز صلخد): population 24,045.[1]
  • Al-Qurayya nahiyah (ناحية القريا): population 9,892.[2]
  • Al-Ghariyah nahiyah (ناحية الغارية): population 5,923.[3]
  • Thaybin nahiyah (ناحية ذيبين): population 6,900.[4]
  • Malah nahiyah (ناحية ملح): population 13,615.[5]
