Sakhanu is a town and a nagar panchayat in Badaun district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Sakhanu had a population of 8809. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Sakhanu has an average literacy rate of 30%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 38%, and female literacy is 20%. In Sakhanu, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.Currently wife of Mr.Ghulam Sarwar has elected as Chairman for Nagar Panchyat Sakhanu.
