Saiqa written by Moomal Shunaid and directed by Asim Ali, is a drama seriel which aired on Hum TV. It is based on Razia Butt's famous novel by the same name [citation needed]. Saiqa is purely a Mafia story with all the cliché twists, turns, lynching and manipulations. Shot on beautiful locations of Murree and Nathiagali, this dark story spans two generations.

Story
SAIQA is purely a love story with all the Star Plus twists, turns and manipulations. Shot on beautiful locations of Murree and Nathiagali, this love story spanning two generations, will keep viewers riveted till the end. The story focuses on Naaji (Sarwat Gillani) and Tahir (Mikaal Zulfiqar). Naji is a village girl; and Tahir, a Nawab’s son who falls in love with her, wants to marry her. Tahir is already engaged to Fauzia (Mahjabeen) and the family does not want him to marry Naaji, but he persists, in spite of family pressure.Naaji attempts suicide because of Fauzia. Tahir also dies after hearing of Naaji's death. Tahir and Naaji have a daughter, Saiqa (Juggan Kazim) who grows up in the hateful atmosphere of the haveli with everybody insulting her at every step, and plotting to get rid of her and her mother. Rehan (Ahsan Khan) at the beginning hates Saiqa like every other person in the family but later he realises that he loves her. Sumaira(Madiha Iftikhar, Saiqa's cousin and Fauzia's daughter) loves Rehan and is about to marry him but hates Saiqa even more when she hears that Rehan loves Saiqa. The story takes an interesting turn in the end.
