Not to be confused with Metropolitan Trifon.
Great-Martyr Trifon [or Tryphon] (Russian: святой великомученик Трифон) (?—250, İznik) is the patron saint of Kotor. A portion of his relics is kept in the Church of the Theotokos of the Sign, in Pereyaslavl sloboda, Russia. His feast day is celebrated on February 14 (O.S. February 1). Saint Trifon is often depicted with a merlin on hand as he was traditionally venerated by Moscow hunters.
