Saint Laurent is an upcoming French biography drama film directed by Bertrand Bonello[1] and co-written with Thomas Bidegain. [2] Centered on the life of Yves Saint Laurent from 1965 to 1976, the film stars Gaspard Ulliel as the famed French fashion designer. The cast also include Léa Seydoux, Louis Garrel and Jérémie Renier. The film is scheduled to be released on 1 October 2014.[3]

Production

The shooting of Saint Laurent began on September 30, 2013.[4]

Pierre Bergé warned Bonello "that he will sue if the rival production features any unauthorized reproductions of Saint Laurent dresses or sketches" and said “I’m saying they are not allowed to show copies.”[1]

Release

Originally set to be release in France on 14 May 2014, the film's release was later postponed to 1 October 2014.[3]
