Saint-Georges-de-Commiers is a commune in the Isère department in south-eastern France. Situated 20 South of Grenoble, it spans 1462 hectares, with a minimum altitude of 286m and a maximum altitude of 1,370 metres (4,490 ft). Saint Georges de Commiers has a total population of 2101 inhabitants. Saint Georgeois citizens are named les Saint Georgeoises.

Saint-Georges Church

This small primitive Roman style church was donated by Saint Hugues aux Chanoines d'Oulx in 1080. Its original aspects have endured the test of time. The arched porche has been preserved, as has the squared bell tower, which has two arched windows, adn is capped with a tall spire. It was classified as a Historical Monument in 1908.
