Saeta (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Saeta is an indie band formed in 1998 by Matt Menovcik (vocals, guitar) and Lesli Wood (piano, vocals). In 1999 Bob Smolenski (cello) joined the band and Saeta began playing live performances in Seattle.
The band takes its name from the flamenco/saeta music of Spain. Inspired by the description "A musical arrow piercing the heart with grief".
Saeta have released five albums. In September 2006 Saeta began recording their fifth full-length album with Kramer in New York City.
